Q:Can this be used a a long gate? How long is when extended?
A:Yes and I believe it extends about 15-20 feet

Q:Does it stay stable outside on the grass?
A:Yes, doesn’t slide or collapse.

Q:Can you lock the door from outside?
A:Yes, there is a little button on the outside of the gate that you push up or down to open or lock the latch on top.

Q:Where can I buy just the door part ? I have 4 playpens already ( I breed puppies) I would like to put the door part in so I do not have to step over
A:Answer this question

Q:How many panels can be linked together and still be stable enough? I currently have 10 total (with door), but want to add 2 more. Thanks.
A:I have only used the amount that came with the original order. I have heard from a friend he increased there unit to 10.

Q:Is the door hard to open and close?
A:Yes, it’s a pain in the butt. It takes me two hands, which means I can’t do it while holding a baby. I end up stepping over it half the time instead… Precarious for someone short like me with a child in arms! It doesn’t latch easily… Doesn’t line up without jiggling.

Q:Can you put 2 playyards together? I have triplets and want to make sure they have enough room when outside!
A:Yes, two sets can be connected together (I personally own two play yards.). Just remember to order matching colors and a gate or two, if this is important to you. I have two granddaughters (first cousins) who are almost two years old and the play yard is a wonderful device to help keep them safe when they are at my house!

Q:Will it slip on a hardwood floor? Does it come with any material that will adhere it to the floor?
A:It comes with foam pads with an adhesive that you can attach for hard floors. I haven’t used it since I have mine on carpet but I don’t believe it will slip with those on.

Q:Any metal pieces? I want to know if it would rust outside…
A:No metal at all.

Q:can you add more panels to it
A:Yes. There is a two panel section you can buy to expand it.

Q:Has anyone had success with preventing this from slipping on tile/hardwood floors? Looking to use this for a small feisty dog.

A:We used it for our two yorkie puppies while we were at work all day, but we have always kept a fuzzy blanket under it because we knew they’d be peeing/pooping and possibly missing the pee pad. They are pretty rambunctious together, but have never moved the pen about (that I’ve noticed). The pen is also up against a wal…

Q:I have the Northstate Superyard Light Gray. Does anyone know if these 2 products are compatible? Wondering if I can attach the 2 together?
A:Fingers crossed. But I believe that you will be just fine. God Bless and your very welcome

Q:I want to buy a foam floor mat to go under the gate + 2 panel extension. What size would I need?

We have 2 sets to make our dog kennel and we use a tarp on the bottom, bringing it up 3 sides to keep the dirt out. Those little zip ties work great for this. I believe you are talking about a total of 8 panels, where we have 10, and it depends on how you set it up whether a circle, square or rectangle. Each panel is 32″ wide so you can go from there and figure 8 would be 64″ square if that’s how you set it up. Hope this helps.

Q:Hi! could you ship it to Argentina by Priority mail?
A:Answer this question

Q:If I purchased 2 8 panel gates, can I connect all 16 panels into one play yard? thanks!
A:Yes, you can. Just beware it won’t be as sturdy as a smaller version. We did this for our twins and it worked but as they got older they would push against the panels until they were almost laying down.

Q:Is this easy to transport?

A:each panel is a inch wide and it folds flat, it is sold as a six panels set so it would be about six inches wide when completely folded. it comes with a strap as a handle. if moving it weekly not bad, moving it ever day might be a little more difficult. we bought two additional panels and love it. would not hesita…

Q:Can I only use 4 panels instead of 6? I don’t need it that large.
A:You could. I would save the additional panels as you may want them later.

Q:Will this be able to withstand a 75-pound dog trying to get into the baby’s play area? I’d like to keep pup out when baby is in it for PT.
A:I personally don’t think so because my daughter is 11 months old and 22 pounds and she can pull the gate and make it lean forward it is flimsy to me I don’t even use it

Q:Is it possible to attach to the walls? If so, there a mounting kit sold for that?
A:I do not think so.

Q:Does it matter where you take it apart to use as a room divider, or does it only come apart at either side of the gate?
A:I haven’t looked too much into it, but when putting together and taking down I remember only one spot where it comes apart to put away. I’m pretty sure it’s only one spot where it comes apart.

Q:I’m looking for something to keep my granddaughter safe when she visits. She’s crawling and pulling up. Is this strong enough for that?
A:Definitely Yes.

Q:Could it be used as a gate after My daughter outgrows the space?
A:I’ve used it as a makeshift gate. But nothing that is going to actually keep her out of a space when she understands she can walk around it!

Q:Would it fit in a 32″ Suitcase?
A:Answer this question

Q:What are the measurements for an individual panel?
A:Thank you for your question. Each panel is 32 inches wide and 26 inches high.

Q:Will this open up and connect to another section of a different superyard
A:Yes it will. I actually ended up buying two of these and just connecting them together instead of buying the expansion pack.

Q:what is the difference between this and the colorplay model?
A:From what I’ve seen…just the color. (I have the color model and know someone with this version.)

Q:does this come with the gate?
A:Thank you for your question. Yes, the Superyard Ultimate comes pre-connected with five regular panels and one door panel.

Q:door
A:Answer this question

Q:Would this fit in a 4 foot x 4 foot space?
A:I don’t think so with all of the panels but I’m sure you can use as few as you want and make it work somehow. 🙂

Q:If you break a gate part are parts available or to you have to buy a whole new 6 panel unit?
A:Thank you for your question. You can find replacement parts on our website at northstatesind.com or feel free to call our customer service team at 763-486-1756 and we would be happy to assist you.

Q:What are the actual dimensions of the play yard
A:Answer this question

Q:Will it scratch wood floors?
A:We have ours set up on the rubber alphabet mat on our wood floors but it comes with rubber stickers for the bottom to make it slide proof!

Q:What is the width of each panel?
A:Each panel is 34″ wide, but that includes the connection on both sides (which would be shared by the next panel). I also bought a 2-panel section.

Q:Do folks attach cushions to the sides of the panels? What would you recommend?
A:I suppose one could attach cushions, but I don’t think they’d be necessary.

Q:Is the gate pretty easy to open and close?
A:The gate is very easy to open with one hand, though hard enough that young children can’t open it. It does have a lock if you want to use it for additional security. We really like this system.

Q:anyone know if this can fit with this? http://www.amazon.com/North-States-Industries-Superyard-Colorplay/dp/B006NTY1HU/ref=pd_sim_75_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=
A:Answer this question

Q:Do the bottom of the joints that rest on the floor have any padding? Will this playyard scratch a wood floor?
A:Answer this question

Q:I need an indoor pen with locking panels. If you put two in position, they won’t move unless you do something to “unlock” them. Is this like that?
A:If I take your question to mean that the panels attached angle with be ‘locked’ in position until ‘unlocked’ than no this product doesn’t do that. It does have preset positions that are stiff but it can be moved with enough force, far from locked.

Q:can this be used free standing to block off a room
A:Yes but be sure to have the gates bent at 45 to 90 degrees from each other for added stability.

Q:Is it heavy to carry
A:Not heavy I can carry in one hand.

Q:Does it tip when the child pulls or pushes on it for support to stand?
A:Yes, this one is not very sturdy after your child starts walking and climbing, but okay for crawlers. I suggest investing in a metal one that is heavy and remains stationary with only vertical bars so they can’t climb.

Q:How many panels is this set?
A:It’s 6 panels. I just bought the 2 panel expansion (making it 8) and highly recommend it.

Q:The description is for “Superyard Colorplay Ultimate Playard,” but the picture displayed is a Graco crib. Which one is it?
A:I do not own a super yard, I purchased a portable cribRegards,M

Q:If I order 2 set, you can make one box (group shipping) delivery? and I wonder it shipping size too..
A:Answer this question

Q:Are the “teeth” missing on the top connection point for the non-hinge side of door panel?
A:No. It has about a two inch piece on either side of the door that connects the pieces together.

Q:Can I buy just the gate? I already have the 6 panel in gray but only see their colorplay gate under replacementparts on their website.
A:I know you can buy it in the multicolored one but I have not seen a gray one.

Q:Is this product BPA-free?
A:According to their website: http://northstatesind.com/forbaby/need-to-know/faqs/yes, they are PVC, BPA, Phtalates, Led, etc- Free

Q:Can an adventurous child climb it? My son tries to climb everything.
A:Yes – I would not advise this for use during the “ClimbsOnEverything” phase that all kiddos go through.

Q:I see this big safety warning but do not see how this products resolves it?
A:I am not sure about the safety warning I use this for my dog who is about 65lbs because of a surgery she had for her ligament in leg. It does the job for us, I am so glad that we got it.

Q:which is better the Metal North states metal yard or the plastic ? Has anyone tried both to compare,.need to keep large dog from knocking it over ?.

A:Have not tried the metal but if you’re using it for a large dog, I don’t think the plastic would be the best. My 16 month old can push our plastic one all over and If we use it straight his weight can collapse it. Also our small dog can jump over it (13lbs). Q:Can the panels of the Ultimate be connected to those of the regular colorplay superyard? I would be buying the Ultimate mostly because of the gate.

Q:Can the door be opened inward instead of outward?
A:Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the door will only swing outward when opening it.

Q:We plan to use this on hardwood floors. Would the plastic scratch?
A:Won’t scratch as it comes with cut to size felt to put on bottom.

Q:Can this gate be extended to be a room divider for a 13 ft. area? Will I need to add the extenders? How would it stay up?
A:yes it can hit 13 feet but you’ll have to someway attach it to something…can’t just stand on its very own. you could drill through the plastic and mount the ends on either wall I suppose.

Q:How wide is the door opening?
A:About 2 feet wide

Q:Would a crib mattress fit in this enclosure with room to spare?
A:Yes

Q:Can the toddlers climb out easily?
A:Only if there is something big enough inside the playpen they can climb on. My toddler had trouble getting her toes in the holes, I think it might hurt if they do. She pulls them out as soon as she gets them in there.

Q:If you buy two, can they be joined together?
A:It is not something we did, but I am pretty certain they can. We bought the yard and then purchased two extra pieces, and it connected just fine.

Q:Can you connect panels from this to the panels of the superyard XT safety gate system?
A:Thank you for your question. All of our plastic Superyards are compatible with each other. So yes, you can connect panels from this yard to the Superyard XT (also known as the Superyard Classic). We recommend only using a maximum of eight panels for safety and stability.

Q:is it possible to make a rectangle enclosure rather than s octagon with the 6 panel?

A:Yes it is possible. The panels have ratcheting hinges on each side. This allows you to bend and expand as necessary. All you would do for this to be a rectangle is bend it so that two panels are flat on two sides and the remaining panels (1 each) are at 90* angles. Q:Can it be set up in a rectangular shape or does it only lock in place as the hexagonal shape?
A:It can’t quite line up a as a rectangle- one side will bow out at an angle. But that’s how we have it, it works.

Q:Can I switch the door around? It needs to open in the opposite direction.
A:It can open towards inside or open outside the play area. So yes that would switch the door around.

Q:It says 4 to 6 weeks ship time but it is prime. Is this correct?
A:Answer this question

Q:Does it have a plastic/chemical smell?
A:I haven’t noticed any smell from it at all. Overall we like this a lot. I think we’ve had this just under a year and use it every day.

Q:Can the ivory gates be connected to the grey superyard gates?
A:they should be able to connect by the pieces that disconnect, if that makes sense. There are about 3 locations that are made to come apart and they should be the same size and fit for all.

Q:Can this play yard be used outdoors to keep dogs safe? i have 2 senior chihuahuas and 1 puppy chihuahua and our back yard is not gated. thanks!
A:Sounds like you have small dogs. I would use it for small dogs. I put my French Bulldog in it.

Q:Once the panels are connected, how do you get them to separate so that you can add extensions et cetera???

A:To separate two adjoining panels, select one of the three joints where a dark gray carpet foot is facing up. Q:What is package Dimensions? I am planning to take by airplane? Thanks in advance
A:When my playyard arrived it was neatly folded and bound by just one strap with Velcro. Amazing, not any additional packaging except the box it came in. Was about 10″ by just two inches added to the height and width. Hope that helps you.

Q:Is it sturdy for baby to use to stand up or will it fall over? Does baby’s fingers get stuck in the openings?
A:I set it up yesterday and had my 106 lb black lab in it for over 3 hours. Happy to report both he and the play yard were intact when I returned!

Q:Can it be used as a u-shape (one end open which will be at the side of the wall) or will it tilt over? Is it possible to make it a square?
